Reporting abuse

What LinkDrop does not allow, how to report a link that is spam, phishing or harmful, and what LinkDrop can do about it.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

LinkDrop lets people share PDFs as links. If a LinkDrop link reached you and looks like spam, phishing, malware or something harmful, you can report it to us.

LinkDrop did not choose you or write to you; the person who sent the link did. The top of the document or project page shows the sender's workspace name, or the person's own name if their workspace has not been named. See If you received a link.

What is not allowed

Our Terms of Service forbid using LinkDrop for, among other things:

  • illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing or defamatory content
  • content that infringes someone else's intellectual property
  • malware, viruses or other harmful code
  • spam, phishing or other fraud through share links or email notifications
  • getting into accounts, documents or workspaces without permission
  • getting around rate limits, passwords, download restrictions or credit limits

The owner of a workspace is responsible for what is done in it, including by its members and by the agents they connect.

Email support@lnkdrp.com or use the chat on the support page. Include:

  • the full link (it has /s/ or /p/ after lnkdrp.com)
  • when you received it, and how (email, message, website)
  • what you saw and why you think it is abuse

Do not download or open attachments you do not trust in order to report them. The link is enough.

To report a security vulnerability in LinkDrop itself, see Trust: email hi@lnkdrp.com with "Security" in the subject.

What LinkDrop can do

  • Remove a document. When our support team deletes a document, its share links stop opening at once and show "This link isn't available". The owner's activity shows the deletion as done by LinkDrop support.
  • Turn off a link. Our support team can take a single share link offline, or every link in the workspaces an account owns. Recipients see "This link isn't available". The owner sees the link marked as turned off by LinkDrop support and cannot turn it back on; only support can. The owner's activity shows it as done by LinkDrop support.
  • Close an account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks our Terms, without notice. A disabled account is signed out, and its agent keys and signed-in agents stop working. Its links stay on unless support also takes them offline.
  • Limit misuse. LinkDrop accepts only PDF files, limits how many download-request emails a share link can send, and limits wrong password guesses on a protected link.

What LinkDrop keeps

Visitor IP addresses are kept for security and abuse prevention. They are never shown to the person who shared the link. See Privacy and security.
