Credits

What credits cost

Credits are only spent when AI reads a document. Uploading, sharing, passwords, expiry and every analytic are free on every plan. Each run is listed on your Usage tab with the level it ran at.

Summary and key points
Written when a document is uploaded or replaced, so a share page can describe itself.
  • One price; there is no quality level to choose.
  • Written automatically on upload. If it was skipped or it failed, write it again from the document page for the same one credit.
  • LinkDrop always writes it; an agent or API caller cannot supply its own. Free for files a recipient uploads.
  • Out of credits? The upload and its links still work; the summary is skipped and you can run it later.

AI compare
What changed between two versions of a document, in plain language.
  • Runs automatically when you replace a PDF: Basic on Free, Standard on Pro.
  • Pick the level yourself when you run a compare again from the document history.
  • Skipped when credits run out; the version is still recorded and you can compare later.

AI reviewNot available yet
Scores a document someone sent you against criteria you set, and explains the score.
  • Priced per document.
  • Not available yet: it arrives with document requests.

Visit brief
A short account of one recipient's visit, written a few minutes after they stop reading: what held them, what they skipped, and how it compares with their last visit.
  • Runs automatically on every plan, a few minutes after each visit ends, at the level picked on the dashboard's Automations tab: Standard unless you choose Advanced.
  • A Free workspace's first brief is on us, written at Standard.
  • Skipped for a glance (under 20 seconds on one page) and for your own opens. Out of credits? You still get the facts of the visit, without the write-up.
  • Turn it off on the dashboard's Automations tab, or set how you hear about it under Notifications.

Reader summary
One contact's reading across every visit: what they keep coming back to, what they never opened, and a suggested next step.
  • Every plan (on Free from starter and pack credits, never on-demand). Runs when you click Summarize on a contact, and again only once they have visited since.
  • Written at the level picked on the dashboard's Automations tab: Standard unless you choose Advanced.
  • Kept up to date after each visit brief about that person, on every workspace by default: turn it off on the dashboard's Automations tab.
  • If it cannot be written, the credit goes back.
  • Being replaced by the reader profile: where profiles run, no new summaries are written and a stored one stays readable until the contact has a profile.
–1 credit3 credits
Reader profile
Who a reader who introduced themselves is: their role, their company and how they fit what they read, from public sources, with their history with you.
  • Once per reader, a few minutes after they introduce themselves, at the level picked on the dashboard's Automations tab: Standard unless you choose Advanced.
  • Updates after later visits are free. A reader is researched again at most every 30 days, when they come back, or whenever you click Refresh research.
  • Every plan (on Free from starter and pack credits, never on-demand). If the research fails, the credits go back.

Recipient Q&ANot available yet
Readers ask a document questions on the share page, under a cap you set per reader and per link.
  • Priced per answered question.

What the levels mean

You choose a level for AI compare (Basic, Standard or Advanced) and for visit briefs and reader summaries (Standard or Advanced), on the dashboard's Automations tab. The upload summary has a single price.

Basic
Quick pass. Fine for short documents and everyday changes.
Standard
More careful reading. The default for AI compare on Pro, and for visit briefs and reader summaries.
Advanced
Deepest reading on a stronger model, for long or high-stakes documents and the most careful briefs.

Never costs credits

  • Uploading, replacing and sharing documents
  • Share links, passwords, expiry and download control
  • Views, downloads, time on page and every other analytic
  • Summaries for files recipients upload through a replace link

Where credits come from

Every workspace starts with 100 starter credits, once. Pro includes 500 credits a month and can turn on on-demand usage at $0.10 a credit under a spend limit you set. On Free, buy a credit pack from $7.
